NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — We now know how much New Hanover County paid in legal fees towards the attempted acquisition of Cheetah Premier in December.
Ward and Smith, P.A. were paid $25,695 for the work it did to look into using the Cheetah Premier property for more parking spaces.
Ultimately, the Board of Commissioners rescinded their decision.
The motion to reverse their decision was made by Commissioner Dane Scalise and was unanimously approved.
Cheetah Premier, a Wilmington adult entertainment club, said they weren’t contacted before a decision about eminent domain was made by New Hanover County commissioners last month.
